Emma Bird - Associate

As an actor Emma has worked in theatres such as The National Theatre, Hampstead Theatre, Norwich Playhouse. She was a regular character in BBC TV’s Casualty. She has worked with writers such as Jimmy McGovern and worked alongside Pete Postlethwaite, Frances de La Tour, David Morrissey and co-starred in a feature film alongside Minnie Driver.

Emma is an improviser, teacher, and professional actor and director. She has been improvising since 2007. She was trained in improv by The Maydays (Brighton/London) and has been on training courses and workshops led by world-renowned improvisers: Rachel Mason & Susan Messing (Second City, Chicago); Rich & Rebecca Sohn (Annoyance Theatre, Chicago); Michael Gellman (Second City, Toronto), Shawn Kinley (Loose Moose Improv Theatre, Canada), Armando Diaz (iO,Chicago & Magnet Theatre NYC). She will be attending Copenhagen International Improv Festival in April 2019, training with Jaime Moyer from Second City Hollywood and Westside Comedy LA.
